CTF hails Mayor’s efforts for augmenting infrastructure for tourism

JAMMU: To promote tourism in Jammu City with special focus on benefiting local economy and trade, office bearers of Chamber of Traders Federation (CTF), Jammu led by Neeraj Anand, President CTF along with stakeholders of Bagh-e-Bahu area toured the entire area after paying obeisance at Bawe Wali Mata Temple. Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta was accompanied the team and interacted with stakeholders.
Neeraj Anand appreciated the efforts being put in by Mayor to augment the infrastructure besides vision of the Mayor to draw a minimum of 10 per cent of Vaishnu Devi pilgrims to Jammu city by way of highlighting the local places of religious and historical importance besides adding up new attractions.
Anand apprised the Mayor that local business has suffered a lot after direct train to Katra. He however appreciated that such attractions like open air theaters, botanical garden, beautification of existing infrastructure as is being carried out in Bagh-e-Bahu would help, attract local tourist as well as Mata Vaishnu Devi pilgrims thus giving a flip to local economy.
Chander Mohan also shared details about various development projects being carried out with sole aim to bring Jammu on tourist circuit.
Gupta invited the team of CTF to visit Gharana Wetland, a paradise of bird watchers and nature lovers. He sought active participation of local people to spread the word about Jammu and its tourist spots. “Together we will succeed in changing the scenario” said Chander Mohan.
Neeraj Anand and team CTF also appreciated the waste bottle crushers installed at Bagh-e-Bahu and encouraged local people to promote its use thus doing their bit in supporting clean environment.
Issue of modernizing parking, widening of roads and conducting special fair to attract tourist were also discussed.
Prominent among those present were Parveen Gupta, Raman Gupta, Shiv Gupta, Dinesh Gupta, Tushar Mahajan and Parag Abrol.
