JAMMU: A programme was organized in the GC CRPF Bantalab Campus to commemorate the soldiers who were martyred in the Pulwama attack in the year 2019.
Head Constable Naseer Ahmed was also martyred in this attack. He was born on February 13, 1973 in Dodasan Bala, Rajouri and was enlisted in CRPF on June 20, 1997.
While posted in 76 Bn he was deployed for protection duty of convoy proceeding from Jammu to Srinagar. When the Convoy reached Pulwama, a car filled with explosives was rammed by the terrorist and exploded on their bus. 40 CRPF personnel including him were martyred in this suicidal blast attack.
It was directed by the MHA Govt. of India and Directorate General CRPF, New Delhi to establish a garden in the name of Martyrs.
Accordingly “Shaheed Head Constable Naseer Ahmed Vatika” was prepared near the Shaheed Smarak.
This Vatika was inaugurated by Veer Nari Shazia Kousher, wife Shaheed Head Constable Naseer Ahmed in the presence of P.S Ranpise, IGP Jammu Sector CRPF on Sunday.
Pradeep Chandra (DIGP), Ashok Samyal (DIGP), Anil Kumar Chaturvedi (DIGP), R.K. Gupta (Commandant) and other Gazetted Officers and personnel were also present. All Officers and personnel paid tribute to Martyrs who were martyred in the Pulwama attack.
During the Vatika inauguration ceremony the Chief Guest honoured Veer Nari Shazia Kousher by presenting the gift.
At the same time the Chief Guest made everyone aware about the incident of Pulwama attack and also encouraged them to perform their duty with sincerity and high alertness so that this type of sudden attack could be avoided in future.
The programme was organized under the leadership of Pradeep Chandra, DIGP, Jammu Sector, CRPF in which Rajesh Kumar (Dy. Comdt), Ajay Sharma (Asst. Comdt.), Udhayvir Singh Chib, (Asst. Comdt.), Rajesh Kumar (Asst. Comdt.), Jaswinder Singh (Asst. Comdt./Min) and other Gazetted Officers, Subordinate Officers and Jawans also lend their support.
