BHADARWAH: To create awareness about importance of green cover, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 33 Battalion organised a mega plantation drive at Sarna on Friday, during which about 800 saplings of different species were planted.Surinder Kumar, Commandant-33 Bn CRPF inaugurated ‘Plantation Drive’ at CRPF Camp Sarna Bhadarwah along with Neeraj Tyagi, Second in Command, Sunil Kumar, Assistant Commandant Hayat Singh Rana, Asstt Comdt, Sanjeet Kumar, Asstt Comdt. Insp/GD Pradeep Singh Mehara and Insp/GD Sree Kumar P K, Insp/GD Harender Singh. Surinder Kumar, Commandant 33 Bn CRPF while addressing Jawans and people, said that in this era of urbanisation we are losing green cover rapidly. “Trees give us oxygen but we have forgotten their importance. This drive will help restoring the green cover besides providing pure oxygen to people,” he said, urging people to be a part of mission to protect forests and plants for healthy environment.
