JAMMU: The Crime Branch Jammu produced more than 700 pages long charge-sheet in second criminal case against an imposter Rakesh Singh for issuing fake transfer orders and duping gullible people.As per an official spokesperson of the investigating agency, the Crime Branch Jammu produced charge-sheet against accused Rakesh Singh, son of Kehar Singh, resident of Jattana Dey Kothey, Dehrian, Hamirpur Sidhar, Tehsil Khour, District Jammu in a case registered vide FIR No. 04/2020 under Sections 420, 465, 468, 471, 201 of IPC for his involvement in fabricating transfer orders by way of forgery and using them as genuine to cheat Govt. establishments as well as complainant namely Narayan Singh, son of Krishan Singh, resident of Manchak Jourian Akhnoor, a Physical Education Teacher of Govt Middle School Chapper, Tehsil Hiranagar, District Kathua and others.Giving history of case, the official said that a written complaint was lodged by Addl. Secretary to Govt., Youth Services & Sports Department, Civil Secretariat J&K, Jammu stating that a Govt. order bearing No.146-Edu (YSS) of 2017, dated December 26, 2017, regarding transfer of one Narayan Singh, Physical Education Teacher, require verification for its authenticity. As per records, no such order was issued by Department and subsequently, the matter was referred to Crime Branch for probe. On receipt of complaint, a preliminary verification was initiated by Crime Branch, Jammu and during course of enquiry, the allegations were prima-facie substantiated against accused, which led to registration of instant criminal case, he added.He further said that during investigation, it has been established that accused Rakesh Singh has committed fraud with complainant by providing him a copy of fake transfer order, prepared by him and also extracted an amount of Rs 50,000 from him, thus causing him wrongful loss and wrongful gain to himself. During investigation, it also came to fore that accused Rakesh Singh is a notorious criminal and a ‘History-Sheeter’ in Police Stations Khour and Crime Branch Jammu and is habitual of committing such cheating/ frauds with innocent people/ youth and multiple FIRs are already registered against him at various Police Stations i.e., Akhnoor, Khour and Crime Branch Jammu etc, he added.
