RAJOURI: As a part of the ongoing nationwide exercise, Covid-19 vaccine dry run was today conducted here at Community Health Centre, Kandi (Kotranka).Additional Deputy Commissioner, Surinder Mohan Sharma, along with the DHO Rajouri Dr. Khalid Mansoor, Tehsildar, Hakim Shah monitored the administration of dummy vaccine at the designated site. The dry run was organized by Block Medical Officer, Dr Iqbal Malik under the Supervision of Chief Medical Officer, Dr Shamim Bhatti.According to Dr.Iqbal Malik, a total 25 dummy beneficiaries selected from Co-WIN platform participated in the mock drive, while 5 trained members of Vaccination Team already uploaded on Co-WIN App, were also present with pre-designated roles and responsibilities. Meanwhile, the functioning of Co-WIN App, on which all beneficiaries are going to be uploaded, was demonstrated to the Media persons and other participants. It was informed that around 800 healthcare workers including ASHAs, Anganwadi Workers and Helpers will be given the covid-19 vaccination dose in Block Kandi in the first phasePOONCH: The Department of Health and Family welfare Poonch on Wednesday conducted a dry run for COVID-19 vaccination here at District Hospital. The mock drive at District Hospital was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav. Similar exercise was also held at Community Health Centre Mandi and Community Health Centre Mendhar.Chief Medical Officer, Dr. G.A Malik; Medical Superintended, Dr. Mushtaq; DPM, Nikhat Khawaja, and DM&EO, Dr. Rahul Sharma were present on the occasion.The Deputy Commissioner, while speaking on the occasion, said that the introduction of the Coronavirus vaccine will save the lives of people from the deadly COVID19 pandemic and the need of the hour is to work with utmost dedication for the successful introduction of the vaccine in the district for the welfare of the masses.He directed the concerned officers to work in a mission mode to ensure the successful conduct of the mock drive of the COVID-19 vaccination to avoid any inconvenience at the time when vaccination drive actually starts in the district.Earlier, the Chief Medical Officer said the objective of the dry run for Covid-19 Vaccine introduction is to assess operational feasibility in the use of Covid Vaccine Intelligence Network (Co-WIN) application in the field environment, to test the linkages between planning and implementation and to identify the challenges and guide way forward prior to actual implementation.The Chief Medical Officer informed that a total of 75 beneficiaries selected from Co-WIN platform have participated during the mock drive held in District Hospital Poonch, CHC Mandi and CHC Mendhar.
