JAMMU: The Court has rejected bail application of accused persons in a fraud case and allowed Crime Branch Jammu to go ahead with arrest of accused for investigation.As per an official spokesperson, Crime Branch Jammu contested bail applications of accused- Gandharab Singh, son of Amir Chand and his son Arjun Singh, residents of Thanger Puli, By-Pass Channi Himmat, Jammu and got their interim bail applications dismissed in case registered vide FIR No. 44/2020 under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 120-B of IPC. The accused are involved in duping complainant namely Krishan Lal, son of Amar Nath, resident of Dhakki Bazaar, ward No. 7, Rajouri, presently staying at Deeli Greater, Jammu of huge sum of money over a piece of land (plot), falling in a prime location in Jammu City-viz Greater Kailash Jammu, he added.The official further told that on proving offence in preliminary verification by Crime Branch Jammu, an instant case was lodged against both the accused persons. However, the accused approached the Court and got interim bail. The accused were not cooperating in investigation of the case. On this, Crime Branch Jammu vigorously contested the bail applications of accused in six hearings in Court of law.On the basis of preliminary evidence collected against the accused and put up before the Court, the custody of accused was sought for custodial interrogation and for effecting recovery from them. The Court, appreciating facts of case and arguments of Crime Branch Jammu, cancelled the interim bail of the accused and allowed Crime Branch Jammu to go ahead with arrest of accused persons for further investigation of case, he asserted.
