Councilor, family saves life of youth

UDHAMPUR: With the efforts of Councilor and Congress District Mahila president Priti Khajuria and Ashwani Khajuria, a youth namely Sanjay Kumar got a new life and stood on his feet after recovering fatal burn injuries. Priti proved that if someone take care of any one especially a patient with love, affection and personal care it will be better than medicines.
According to reports Ashwani Khajuria and Priti Khajuria helped out victim Sanjay Kumar who had got severe burns injuries due to sudden fire incident. As Khajuria family came to know about unfortunate incident wherein victim Sanjay had received severe burn injuries was hospitalised in the district hospital Udhampur on 9 March 2021 and discharged on 1st April after he completely recovered.
Khajuria told media that during undergoing treatment in Udhampur surgeon suggested that it is a case of burn, since there is no burn unit and plastic surgeon in the district hospital Sanjay was referred to GMC Jammu for better treatment. But unfortunately Sanjay’s case was not properly taken by GMC Jammu due to lack of funds and he was sent back home. As soon as the matter brought up in the knowledge of Ashwani and Preeti Khajuria they took initiative and contacted PRO Northern Command Udhampur, Lieutenant Colonel Abhinav for consultations at MH Udhampur who helped them and Sanjay was shifted in MH on the morning of 11th March 2021 where surgeon Dr. Colonel Gopi thoroughly investigated the case and explained how Khajuria would take care of Sanjay completely.
After the advice, victim was again brought back to the DHU for proper medication, high protein diet and physiotherapy started and all this was started under the supervision of the District Hospital’s Superintendent. During this time many people of the city came forward to help Sanjay and helped according to their convenience. Though Khajuria once again showed concern towards the Sanjay by taking him to MH, then Dr. Colonel Gopi was also surprised to see the steady recovery of the patient, he congratulated to Khajuria family.
During this, DIG Surjit Singh also deposited about 1.75 lakh rupees in Sanjay’s account. He was discharged from the hospital on the 1st April as he is now standing recovered and can walk also. Khajuria thanked all those people who supported Sanjay in his healing processes, mainly PRO NC Lt. Col. Abhinav Navneet, Doctors and staff of DHU and local citizens.
