RAJOURI: Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Pawan Kumar on Wednesday took a comprehensive review of the performance of the Rural Development Department here in a meeting of the concerned officers held in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bunglow.The meeting was attended by the ACD, Sushil Khajuria; ACP, Mohd Rashid Kohli; CAO, Shabana Azmin; PO IWMP, Parveen Akhter; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; ExEn REW, Noor Ali and BDOs.A discussion with respect to various points including geo-tagging of assets, aadhar seeding, registration of ‘B’ class contractors for panchayat level works, FTOs generation, progress on water conservation related works, payments under PMAY and MGNREGA, B2V works was held threadbare in the meeting.While taking stock of the Geo tagging of the assets, the ADDC asked to ensure that all the assets are Geotagged at each stage at the earliest.Reviewing timely payments under PMAY and MGNREGA, he directed the concerned officers to ensure payments are made to the beneficiaries in time so that they don’t face any inconveniences.About Adhar seeding, the ADDC issued instructions for achieving hundred percent Aadhar seeding of all the beneficiaries of the district within the shortest possible time.Discussing the progress on PMAY houses being constructed in the district, he asked the concerned officers to make sure that all the houses being constructed under the scheme are completed within set deadlines.Regarding the enlistment of registration of ‘B’ class contractors for Panchayat level works, he directed the concerned officers to complete the process at the earliest to provide job opportunities to locals and to expedite the development works in rural areas.In connection with the repair and renovation of water bodies, the ADDC instructed the concerned officers to get all the water bodies of the district repaired and renovated at the earliest.Taking a review of the progress regarding the registration of the women under the women water conservation club, the ADDC directed the BDOs to submit the list of one thousand ladies per block within the shortest possible time.Regarding convening the monthly meetings of the block development councils, the BDOs were directed to ensure that these meetings are held every month.The ADDC stressed that issues and bottlenecks with regard to developmental works should be resolved on priority so that deserving people can avail maximum benefits of the developmental works and welfare schemes.Stressing on time bound completion of works, the ADDC asked for redoubling the efforts to achieve the targets and also asked them to pace up the works and ensure cent percent completion of the targeted works within stipulated time frame.He also asked for maintaining proper quality, while executing the developmental works besides, also warned of strict action in case of any laxity.The ADDC also stressed upon the officers for maintaining proper coordination between officers and the PRIs so that the better results could be yielded on ground with respect to developmental works and infrastructure creation.It was also decided in the meeting that special teams would also be constituted to ascertain the quality of the completed works.
