JAMMU: A delegation of Canal Road Residents Welfare Association (CRRWA) called on Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member Parliament and demanded extension of Akhnoor Road Elevated Corridor/Flyover from Canal Head to 4th Tawi Bridge. The Association members apprised MP regarding traffic chaos which would be created, if aforesaid Flyover is not extended. “Road from Jewel to Canal Head is perpetually blocked and a worst situation would arise on 4th Tawi Bridge-Canal Road. It would lead to heavy traffic jam on Akhnoor Road Flyover, Jewel to Canal Head road, Canal Head to 4th Tawi Bridge road, Canal Head Talab Tillo road and on road to State Guest House, Circuit House and Convention Centre,” they added.Jugal assured the delegation for looking into the matter and stated that he will shortly convene a meeting with concerned administrative officers of all related departments, so that suitable corrective action is taken in larger public interest. The delegation was led by President Sanjay Aggarwal and consisted of Vikrant Kuthiala, Kuldeep Gupta, Ajay Aggarwal and Vineet Aggarwal.
