STATE TIMES NEWSNOWSHERA: Congress has flayed government for low voltage/unscheduled power cuts and irregular water supply in Nowshera.Addressing a press conference, Adv Rajinder Parshad Sharma, Senior Congress Leader said that the people of Nowshera are suffering badly due to low voltage, power cuts and irregular water supply.Sharma said, “The Siot Grid Station which was sanctioned by Then Minister and MLA, Late Dr. Romesh Chander Sharma was completed and started functioning several months back but the area of Nowshera is getting ignored as the electricity is being supplied to Rajouri and Poonch.Sharma demanded that the Nowshera Grid should immediately be connected with Siot Grid Station otherwise the people will be forced to come on roads against this injustice.The irregular water supply is due to low voltage, as the motors installed by PHE/Jal Shakti Department are not able to run, he added.Sharma said, The Rajal Gravity Scheme and Beripattan Lift Irrigation Schemes are without funds from last 12 years. Along with this the Siot Gravity Scheme is also closed from last many years.Sharma also said that the vacant posts should be filled immediately in Sub-District Hospital, PHC’s, Sub Centre’s, Health and wellness Centers in Nowshera as the people are suffering badly due to the non availability of staff.Sharma urged LG Manoj Sinha to look into these burning issues of the border area and resolve the above mentioned problems that are being faced by the people. Prominent among those who were present on the press conference including Congress Leaders Sukhdev Sharma, Raj Kumar Sharma, Subahsh Tuli.Youth Congress Leaders including Rishiv Sharma (Assembly President Youth Congress),General Secretaries Tajinder Singh,Aman Attri,Sourav Choudhary were also present.
