Committee constituted for concurrent updation of official websites



Jammu: The Government on Saturday constituted a Committee for continuous and concurrent updation of official websites of various government departments and Districts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per government order, the committee will be headed by Secretary, Information Technology Department a its chairman while State Informatics Officer, National Informatics Centre (NIC), Civil Secretariat, Jammu and representative of Jammu and Kashmir e-Governance Agency (JaKeGA), to be nominated by Secretary to the Government, Information Technology Department will be its Members.
“The committee shall frame SOPs to ensure that all Government websites are updated regularly by departments/districts and also monitor and guide NIC in designing Government websites so as to make them more informative, interactive and user-friendly,” the order stated and added, “It will ensure that the Government websites have easy interfaces/access to all important Circulars/ Notifications/Acts besides to ensure that websites become easy means for accessing/enrolling in Government schemes/programmes.”
