Civil Society presents memorandum to President Municipality Poonch

POONCH: Adv. Bhanu Partap led a delegation of civil society members and presented a memorandum of demands to Adv. Sunil Sharma, President Municipality Poonch. He was accompanied by Adv Tahir Mahmood Qadri, Nishu Gupta and Satvinder Singh.
Through this memorandum the delegation demanded that a committee of the Municipal Councilors may be constituted at the earliest to lead and supervise the new challenges and resolve the problems faced by people due to spread of corona in our far flung district Poonch.
Adv Bhanu stated that the major issues raised in the memorandum were accelerating the process of installation of oxygen Plant in the Raja Sukhdev Singh DH Poonch; majority of Ventilators and CT scan machine in District Hospital Poonch are not in use and requested that they are lifesaving equipments and must be brought in use. Concerned Doctors, technicians and allied staff may be made available to run these important lifesaving equipments in District Hospital Poonch and Sub District Hospitals at Surankot, Mendhar, Mandi; Jan Aushadi Kendra” has been closed from past more than one year which provides cost effective generic medicines at very cheaper rates. Kindly make efforts in reopening this poor-friendly medical store in Poonch; black marketers and hoarders of COVID-19 related medicines and other essential products must be given exemplary punishments and many others issues. He urged the President Municipality Poonch that the Committee of the Municipal Councillors will supervise and resolve these issues. The delegation appreciated the efforts of front line workers during this corona.
Adv. Sunil Sharma, President Municipality Poonch assured that the issues raised in the Memorandum by the general public will be resolved and a Committee of the Municipal Councillors will be constituted. He told the media that he will take up this issues with the concerned authorities and said no stone will be left unturned in the welfare of the public of Poonch.
