JAMMU: Jammu police presented Challan against three terrorists of Lashkar-e-Toiba in the court of Special Judge NIA on Thursday. The charge-sheet was presented against Raees Ahmed Dar, son of Ghulam Hassan Dar, resident of Churat, Tehsil Devsar, Kulgam; Zahoor Ahmad Rather code Khalid, son of Ghulam Hassan Rather, resident of Jal Kreen Dooru District Anantnag and Sabzar Ahmed Sheikh, son of Ghulam Ahmed Sheikh, resident of Ashmuji District Kulgam.According to the Challan presented by DySP Bikram Kumar, on a specific input about presence of some terrorists with automatic weapon in Narwal area, a team of SOG Jammu was deployed for Naka checking at Narwal area at about 1730 Hours. When team was busy in vehicle checking duty, a white coloured Alto car bearing registration number JK18A/9967 avoided Naka and drove very fast after taking a U-turn towards Yard No. 06. On suspicion, SOG team chased the vehicle and due to heavy traffic Jam on route the vehicle couldn’t go too far. Two suspicious persons de-boarded from aforesaid vehicle alongwith one black coloureed (red printed) sky bag. As they ran hard leaving vehicle behind, they were over-powered & apprehended by SOG officers. On checking of bag, which was in possession of Raees Ahmed Dar, one AK series rifle, one pistol, two magazines of AK series, 60 rounds of AK series and 15 rounds of pistol, which were wrapped among few clothes, were recovered. They had no proper explanation for possession of illegal weapons, which clearly shows that they are involved in terrorist activities, by waging war against sovereignty and integrity of India and give support to terrorist activities in UT of J&K. It was requested to lodge FIR under relevant section of law by Dy SP Police component Jammu. On this, docket case FIR No. 359/2020 under sections 120-B/121/121-A, 122 of IPC, 7/25 AA and 18/20/38/39 of UA (P) Act was registeredDuring course of investigation, it came to fore that Zahoor Ahmad Rather code Khalid, son of Ghulam Hassan Rather, resident of Jal Kreeri Dooru District Anantnag is an active terrorist of LeT (TRF) banned organisation and in the month of November 2020, hatched a criminal conspiracy with Raees Ahmed Dar at his residence Churat Devsar District Kulgam and paid him some cash alongwith a mobile phone and directed him to transport some consignment of arms & ammunition from Narwal, Jammu. On this instruction, Raees Ahmed Dar reached Narwal Jammu on December 24, 2020 by his car No JK18A-9967 and parked it near Canara Bank Narwal, Jammu and went to Bus-stand for taking meals, at Kulgam Muslim Hotel, Bus Stand Jammu where Raees Ahmed Dar met Sabzar Ahmad Sheikh, son of Gh Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Ashmuji Kulgam. During their conversation, Sabzar Ahmed asked Raees Ahmed Dar to lend him Rs 1,000, as Sabzar Ahmed has no money to reach home. Raees Ahmed Dar told Sabzar Ahmed that he has come to Jammu to receive and transport consignment of Arms & Ammunition from Jammu to Kashmir for Zahoor Ahmed, code Khalid for which he will get huge amount. If you (Sabzar Ahmed) come with me and help me in transporting the consignment from Jammu to Kashmir, you will get half at the money on which Sabzar Ahmed agreed and told Raees Ahmed Dar that he has worked for terrorists in past also. Both accused, on December 24, 2020 after taking meals from Kulgam Muslim Hotel, Jammu came to Narwal Raees Ahmed Dar was in contact with Zahoor Ahmed Rather code Khalid on mobile by using VOIP messenger application Zangi. Further, accused Raees Ahmed Dar and Sabzar Ahmad Shailan received consignment of Arms & Ammunition from an unknown person at Narwal and Raees Ahmed Dar paid Rs 70,000 to him. Due to blockade of NHW, both the accused could not move towards Kashmir valley on December 24, 2020 and December 25, 2020 both the accused were intercepted by the police component Jammu at yard No. 06 Narwal. Recovered Arms and Ammunition were also seized. On basis of above facts and circumstances, it has come to fore that Zahoor Ahmad Rather code Khalid, son of Ghulam Hassan Rather, resident of Jal Kreen Dooru District Anantnag is ‘C’ category terrorist of LeT(TRF) which is the banned organization Raees Ahmed Dar, son of Gh Hassan Dar, resident of Churat, Tehsil Devsar Kulgam has worked for the same organization LeT (TRF) by transporting weapons from Jammu to Kashmir.On above facts and circumstances, section 120-B IPC has been deleted and section 23 ULA(P) Act has been added in the case, sections 121/121-A, 122 IPC, 7/25 IA Act 18/23/38 ULA (P) Act have been proved against Raees Ahmed Dar, son of Ghulam Hassan Dar, resident of Churat Tehsil Devsar. Kulgam, section 121/121-A, 122 (PC. 18/20/38 ULA (P) Act have been proved against Zahoor Ahmad Rather code Khalid, son of Ghulam Hassan Rather, resident of Jal Kreen Dooru District Anantnag Whereas section 18/39/ ULA (P) Act have been proved against Sabzar Ahmed Sheikh, son of Ghulam Ahmed Sheikh, resident of Ashmuji District Kulgam. During course of investigation, Abass Sheikh, son of Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, resident of Rampura Qaimoh Kulgam, an unknown Molvi, resident of Qazigund. Unknown person from whom accused Raees Ahmed Dar collected consignment of Arms & Ammunition. Further, name of a woman namely Boba, resident of Sadura have surfaced in the case.To ascertain their identity and involvement in the instant case investigation will remain continue and after collecting evidence supplementary challan will be produced in the Court of law. FSL report from CFSL Chandigarh and FSL Srinagar is also awaited. On receiving FSL report the same will be submitted before the court which will form part of the challan. Vehicle bearing No. JK18A-9967 Alto Car white coloured seized in the case has been kept at Police Station Bahu Fort Jammu, while accused Raees Ahmed Dar, son of Ghulam Hassan Dar, resident of Churat, Tehsil Devsar Kulgam; Zahoor Ahmad Rather code Khalid, son of Ghulam Hassan Rather, resident of Jai Kreeri Dooru District Anantnag are presently lodged in District Jail Anantnag by the order of Court Special Judge (Designated Court under NIA) Anantnag dated 21.05.2021 whereas accused Sabzar Ahmed Sheikh, son of Ghulam Ahmed Sheikh, resident of Ashmuji District Kulgam has been lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhatwal on judicial remand up to June 23, 2021. Hence, charge-sheet against accused persons Raees Ahmed Dar, son of Ghulam Hassan Dar, resident of Churat, Tehsil Devsar, Kulgam; Zahoor Ahmad Rather code Khalid, son of Ghulam Hassan Rather, resident of Jal Kreen Dooru District Anantnag and Sabzar Ahmed Sheikh, son of Ghulam Ahmed Sheikh, resident of Ashmuji District Kulgam was submitted before the Court for favour of judicial determination.
