Burglary case solved, thief arrested

SAMBA: Police on Monday worked out a burglary case within 24 hours of registration of case at Police Station Samba by arresting the thief and recovering stolen golden jewellery worth about Rs 1 lakh.
As per details, on Dec 11, 2020, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Samba by a person namely Subash Chander, son of Jagga Ram, resident of Arazi Samba stating therein that some unknown burglars struck in his house and decamped with golden jewellery and some cash. Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR No. 336/2020 under Sections 457 & 380 of IPC was registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. A team of Police Station Samba conducted raids in various suspicious areas and questioned a number of suspects. During the course of investigation, suspect namely Mukesh Kumar, son of Girdhari Lal, resident of Arazi Samba confessed his involvement in burglary. On his disclosure, police recovered stolen golden jewellery approximately 23 gram worth Rs about 1 lakh.
