VIJAYPUR: Intensifying its drive against sale of illicit liquor under supervision of SSP Samba, Dr Abhishek Mahajan, Police arrested a bootlegger on Tuesday and recovered 60 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per details, acting on information from reliable source regarding transportation of illicit liquor, a party from Police Station Vijaypur led by SHO Inspr Rajeev Kumar under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Priyanka Kumari intercepted a suspect and during checking, recovered 60 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession. The accused, identified as Timple Kumar, son of Karam Chand, resident of Kotli Shahdoula, Tehsil R.S Pura, was arrested on spot and FIR No. 75/2022 under section 48 (A) of Excise Act was registered against him.
