SRINAGAR: Police on Thursday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 15 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.As per details, officers at a checkpoint established near Zero Bridge Foreshore road, intercepted an auto (JK01AC-9479) driven by Younis Ahmad Bhat, resident of Sheikh Mohalla, Habbak Srinagar. During search, 15 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession. He was arrested on spot and shifted to Police Station Nigeen where he remained under custody. The vehicle used in commission of crime has also been seized. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 176/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Nigeen and further investigation is under progress.
