Dear Editor,Today I read some lines said by His Holiness the Dalai lama that ‘When you think everything is someone else’s fault, you will suffer a lot. When you realise that everything springs only from yourself, you will learn both peace and joy’. While I read these lines, a student came in my mind who had not performed well in exams. I saw his parents blaming the teachers for not teaching him well and at the same time his teachers were blaming parents for not caring his studies at home. I was surprised to see even that student was blaming someone and that someone was God, by saying that luck is not with me.This is what I call ‘blame game’. No one is ready to take responsibility.Dear friends everyone wants a corruption free society, clean political system, a developed nation, no poverty etc. But if we dream about such system,we need to do something for it rather to blame others. The harsh reality is no one is willing to be part of this change , by saying ‘How can I?’If Lincoln wouldn’t abolish slavery, who would? If mother Teresa wouldn’t help poor and afflicted, who would? If the father of nation Mahatma Gandhi wouldn’t start QUIT INDIA movement, who would?. All these were individuals who took responsibility for change.Dear friends, before saying the system is corrupt, firstly I must ask myself, did I do something to stop it. Before saying the global warming is an issue the world must look on, firstly I must ask myself how many plants I have planted. Before saying there is poverty all around the society, firstly I must ask myself how many poor I have helped in my life. Before saying that there is poor electricity and water supply in my town, firstly I must ask myself ,do I have legal connections or am I paying the charges every month. If the answer is No. Then I have no right to blame others.Blaming other people is just like a mirror, if you point , your reflection will point back.No body can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending. It is easy to blame others than to take responsibility but in my views it is better to take responsibility than to blame others. I have made this system, why shall I blame others. Now you decide who to blame?Yasir Butt,Sarthal Kishtwar
