KATHUA: People are the better judges and best choosers, and it is for them to decide whether to go with 70 years of underdevelopment or 6 years of massive development. In the history of J&K, BJP has initiated enormous developments across the UT.
This was stated by Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP Vice President and Incharge Kathua district, while launching a door to door campaign in connection with DDC polls here.
“With the due contributing of MoS Independent Charge, Dr Jitendra Singh, BJP led government at the Centre and UT administration has shown J&K a new dawn of empowerment and progress. BJP has done in just six years what other political parties while in power could not do in 70 years. Besides the other mainstream political parties and national politics has just misled and failed the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the behest of power,” Sethi said.
“While BJP in J&K UT has taken the UT towards a new horizon. Developmental projects comprised of establishment of AIIMS, IIT, IIM, Bridges, hydroelectric projects, expansion of Jammu Airport and many more are the factual witness of the truth that was prevailed by the Modi led government,” he said, adding that the class of development J&K has witnessed in these six years of BJP in power; it had never witnessed before. All these initiatives were with due to bold steps taken by Prime Minister Modi, he said.
With the massive developments in Kathua district by Dr Jitendra Singh, Sethi said that the Kathua district has now become a role model for all the district of twin divisions of J&K
“Highlighting six years’ achievements of the sitting MP and MoS Dr Jitendra Singh, Shahpur Kandi Project was taken into hand after long delay of 40 years, North India’s first Bio-Tech Park was established in Kathua, Keerian Gandyal Inter-State Bridge constructed on war footing basis and dedicated to public, establishment of Government Medical College Kathua, passport offices, Seed Processing Plant, Kathua Railway Platform upgraded with more facilities for commuters and development of Dreamland Park for public recreation. Besides Kathua, the Jammu division has witnessed massive development under BJP regime,” Sethi said.
The senior BJP leader said “Those who termed themselves as ‘Messiah’ of people in actual had done nothing for people except trading hollow slogans and fake promises.”
“The people of Keerian Gandyal have decided to support and vote BJP which has been working for the welfare of people since developments are clearly seen on grounds,” he said.
For the ongoing District Development Council (DDC) Elections, BJP has started a ‘Door to Door’ campaign. Under the campaign process, the people will be sensitized about the works BJP has carried out in the past 6 years in power by party pamphlet released. The pamphlets with developmental works and initiatives cum schemes inked in it would be distributed among the masses. Sethi said BJP has strictly worked under the party agenda of ‘Nation First, Party Next and Self Last’ and would work under the same ideology in future. He appealed to the people to support and vote BJP to power in DDC elections so that J&K would witness more empowerment and development in future, besides strengthening the democracy at the grass root level.
Among others who were present included Dr Narinder Singh, Ravinder Kumar Citu, Adv Rakesh Sharma, Rajesh Singh Mandal President, Updesh Andotra, Subash, Rimmy Charak, Harbans Singh, Ashok Sooden, Gorav Gupta, Gorav Sharma, Allah Rakha and Kamal Singh.
