RS PURA: Urging all secular forces in J&K to defeat the designs of anti-peace forces vitiating atmosphere of amity and communal harmony, former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla on Wednesday appealed people not to allow any force to harm secular fabric of the J&K.
This was observed by former Minister while addressing media persons on the occasion of filing of nomination papers by Congress candidate Romesh Motton from RS Pura DDC seat. Prominent among those present on the occasion include PCC Secretary Pawan Raina, Sr. Vice President Distt Rural Sarpanch Ravinder Singh, Congress candidatr from Miran Sahib DDC seat Chander Prabha, Block President Sham Lal Mehra, Block President Kuldeep Raj, Balbir Singh, Sewa Ram, Ajaib Singh Mottan, Panch Shabaz Singh, Panch Capt Harnam Singh, Prithvi Singh, Ghara Mottan beside others. He expressed concern over the continuous efforts by anti peace forces to vitiate the atmosphere of amity and harm the age old tradition of brotherhood in the State. Expressing serious concern over the future of people and the State, Bhalla accused the BJP government of bringing the state at the verge of disintegration due to their wrong and anti people policies. He castigated BJP for indulging in politics of exploitation for the sake of getting benefitted politically and has let down the people in all respects has betrayed people for the sake of coming into power in the State, he said.
BJP has nothing to offer to the people and therefore it has been shying away from focussing on the core issues”, Bhalla said. He reminded the BJP of the massive 2014 Jammu mandate for development and welfare and said that instead of doing a little bit in this regard they pushed the entire region to the wall. The developmental machinery came to a grinding halt and the utility services suffered major jolt due to the self-centred approach of the BJP leaders. The hope of inclusive development and political reconciliation were taken over by despair, as the self styled champions of the Jammu cause failed to satiate the urges and aspirations of people.”BJP has not understood the idea of Jammu and Kashmir”, he said while decrying the dubious tactics being employed to hoodwink public opinion.
He referred to the bogies being created by the BJP and said this has neither worked in the past nor will create any magic for BJP in future. He said the upcoming polls will send a terse message to the BJP for pursuing the politics of deceit and hate that has caused enormous damage to the secular fabric of this land of Sufis and Saints. Bhalla hoped the people have not forgotten the BJP duplicity while expressing confidence that they will put their decisive decision on the day of reckoning. This is discernible by the mood prevailing during the current District Development Council polls, he said, adding that this will set a tone for the entire electoral process. He anticipated a big win for the Congress candidates. Former Minister said that from the day BJP assumed power at Centre and in the state, people of the country and State started feeling insecure and helpless, for the fact, BJP remained unable to give good governance as was claimed by them and miserably failed to ensure safety of common people, he said.
While cautioning the people about the negative politics of BJP in the State, appealed them to remain vigilant and defeat BJP attempting to create regional imbalance to serve their vested interests, he said.
