BHU alumnus R K Tikoo conferred with Dr Gvauri award

JAMMU: R.K Tikoo, an eminent Ento-Agrostologist Specialist of Agriculture Department, well known Socio-Cultural Activist and an Alumni of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has been conferred with Dr. Gvauri Kallo Award for his outstanding contribution in the field of agriculture.
The Award conferred upon him during the 4th three days International Conference at Shobhit University, Meerut in association with Jyoti Vidyapeeth Women’s University, Jaipur by Vice-Chancellor in presence of Chancellor and other dignitaries.
In all, 250 scientists participated across the globe with 2440 scientists on virtual mode. 50 Research papers were presented and some 250 papers online.
Besides, this, 15 more awards were conferred upon senior scientist in their respective fields.
It is pertinent to mention here that an Ex-Agricultural Expert is having two Masters Degree and expertise in Entomology and Agrostology with PG in Journalism and Mass Communication.
He has many social and scientific papers to his credit. Tikoo has presented/published six papers at National and one in International Scientific conferences.
It may not be out of place to mention that R.K Tikoo is a Board Member of many National and International Societies and Media Houses. He is approved Artist of Prasar Bharti Broadcasting Corporation of India Graded – B High.
He created pool of trained manpower by generating public awareness about Civil Defence and prepared students to create mechanism for efficient and effective responses to any emergency whether natural or man-made.
Tikoo has also been awarded by HG/CD/SDRF, J&K Govt. through Principal Secretary Home and IGP, in recognition of his outstanding services and commendable job during the Jammu floods – 2014.
Tikoo is also instrumental in promoting and propagating of Classical/Folk Music and Imparting Free Cultural Education to Culturally, Economically Poor and specially abled students in Jammu & Kashmir through AROHI, a voluntary cultural society.
