JAMMU: Bharatiya Yog Sansthan (BYS) Jammu celebrated ‘Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas’ on Friday. This day is celebrated every year throughout country and abroad on December 25 by Bharatiya Yog Sansthan. Accordingly, Bhartiya Yog Sansthan Jammu celebrated ‘Mahila Yog Shakti Diwas at sprawling lawns of Ashram Gole Gujral, Jammu. The programme was quite impressive though short, in view of ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Social distancing and other COVID protocols were also ensured. Poornima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu was the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, she lauded efforts of Sansthan and positive impact it has on the society at large. Dr Sanjogta Soodan, Health Officer JMC was the Guest of Honour and urged participants to practise Yoga daily, as it would enable them to get rid of various diseases.
Earlier, Satya Pal, President of Sansthan welcomed the Chief Guest and participants. Dr Suresh Gupta, senior Vice president of Sansthan delivered a meaningful lecture on health issues of females and their Yogic remedy. Jia Lal Sharma extended vote of thanks to Chief Guest, organisers and participants. Ranjana Verma and Anupama Puri conducted proceedings of event.
