BBSBHC wins opening tie of Poonch Hockey

POONCH: Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Hockey Club (BBSBHC) won opening match of the District Hockey Championship, organised by Hockey Poonch under the aegis of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at Sports Stadium, here today.
The BBSBHC blanked Stadium XI 9-0 thereby made it a one-sided contest. Indpreet Singh and Amandeep scored three goals each while Noib, Jagmeet and Damanpreet added one goal each.
Earlier, the competition declared open by Manager Sports Stadium, Nirdosh Kumar in the presence of Narjeet Singh (Retd ZPEO). Among others present were Vijay Kumar (PEM), Ravinder Singh, Rajinder Singh Toofan, Kewal Krishan, Sanjay Misri (veteran hockey players), Sourav Sharma, Matinderpal Singh, Ranveet Singh, Navjot Singh (Hockey coaches), Pervaiz Malik (Chairman EHSAAS Foundation Pooch) and members of REK Association Poonch.
Today’s match was officiated by the technical panel including Ranveet Singh, Kavaldeep Singh, Harmeet Singh and Mohd. Tahir).
Sponsored by J&K Sports Council, this championship is being held under the supervision of general secretary Hockey India, Rajinder Singh Kuku; acting president, Rajeev Sharma and general secretary Hockey J&K, Dr Taran Singh. The event is technically supervised by Mukesh Kumar.
