UDHAMPUR: Dr. S.D. Singh Jamwal, ADGP Security J&K/ Director Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur on Saturday inaugurated basic training courses of Prob. Assistant Directors Fire and Emergency Services and Prob. Sub-Inspectors who have recently reported in the Academy for undergoing their basic training courses. Initially Shri Mohan Lal, JKPS, SSP, Dy. Director (Outdoor/Indoor) introduced probationary trainees alongwith the educational profiles.
Dr. S.D Singh Jamwal in his inaugural address stressed upon for display of highest degree of discipline and observing of social distancing during their Outdoor and Indoor trainings in view of prevailing Covid-19 pandemic. He said proper messing and accommodation arrangements have been made available to them alongwith study tables and chairs including library facility and further advised them to properly utilize their free time for study of laws which are being taught to them during training. They were categorically told that there would be no compromise on the discipline, misconduct or any laxity during their training. Dr. Singh remembered the time of his training period at NPA and said that the training period is an important transitional period for a trainee to become man from a boy and woman from a girl and this is a golden period for a trainee to promote brotherhood among the colleagues as after passing out from the training Institute, they hardly get chance to stay together. He also said that over the time, the training infrastructure of the Academy has been upgraded with inclusion of various sports activities, Auditorium facility for addressing the trainees. Lastly Jamwal wished them to become dedicated and responsible police officers for the service of the UT/Nation.
Dr. Jamwal was accompanied by Mohan Lal, SSP Dy. Director (Outdoor/Indoor), Suraj Singh Assistant Director (Trg/R&D), K.K. Sharma Assistant Director (Q), Sunmati Gupta, Assistant Director (Outdoor) and Ramesh Kataria Dy.SP(S) Pvt.Secy.
