JAMMU: A meeting of development and welfare committee of Ward No 41 was convened on Sunday at Wazir Lane, Bohri just after conclusion of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ by Prime Minister. The meeting was chaired by Sanjay Baru, Councilor Ward No 41, which was attended by more than 75 prominent residents of Wazir Lane, Shanti Vihar, Friends Colony, Green Enclave, Priyadarshani lane and other adjoining areas. Sanjay Baru highlighted outcomes of e-Janta Darbars convened by Sushma Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner Jammu in recent past. Various developmental projects/demands were discussed during e-Public Durbars such as establishment of Sub-District Hospital in Poonch House Talab Tillo, construction of community hall, installation/ repair of street lights and other related issues.
Mohan Lal Mahajan, Chairman of committee thanked Baru for giving a patient hearing to participants and fulfilling various public demands within stipulated time-frame. Baru extended gratitude towards Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sushma Chauhan for her personal intervention in resolving various development issues including shifting of electrical poles and repair of Kamla Palace road, transfer of 4 Kanal state land for establishment of new Police Station at Gol Gujral, sanction of drainage project for Hazuri Bhag Colony from Dewan Beverages to Pouni Chak at an estimated cost of Rs 5 cr.
Ashok Singh Wazir, Ward President presented vote of thanks and Rajesh Thakur, convenor conducted proceedings of the meeting. It was unanimously decided that such meetings will be organised on regular basis. BJP District vice-president Jaideep Samyal, District Secretary Brijesh Gupta, Raman Koushal, Vikas Khajuria, M.L Gupta, Dindayal Sharma, Varinder Raina, O.P Sharma, Baldev Singh, Dr Inderjeet Bakshi, M S Rana, Kamal Sharma, V M Honda, Rakesh Dhar, Sunil Verma and Desh Kumar Kotwal were also present.
