Baramulla beat Doda by 69 runs in opening tie


Inter District UT Level u-14 Cricket Competition


KATHUA: Baramulla defeated Doda by 69 runs in the opening match of the Inter District UT Level under-14 Cricket Competition for boys being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Kathua at Mini Stadium Hiranagar, here on Friday.
The Competition was declared open by the Chief Guest, ADC Atul Gupta in the presence of Sunil Kumar, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua (Chairman) along with Nasib Chand, Joginder Kumar, Mohan Lal Dub, Sr. PEM Dharminder Singh Shally and field staff.
DYSSO Kathua said that the main aim of organizing this tournament is to nourish the sports talent and development of team spirit in the youth of J&K.
A total of 260 players and 33 incharges of 18 districts are participating in this competition.
Yog Raj Sharma, ZPEO Hiranagar interacted with players and gave best wishes to them.
Today’s match was officiated by Avinash, Vikas Gupta, Sanjay Kumar, Sanjay Khajuria, Raj Pal and Ashok Sharma.
