JAMMU: A delegation of Kashmiri Pandit migrants today called on General Secretary Apni Party Vijay Bakaya here at Gandhi Nagar, Party Office.They complained that 8 kanals of orchard land at village Madergam Tehsil and District Kulgam belonging to one Sudarshan Singh had been vandalized by miscreants and the fruit bearing trees had been cut to convert the land into playground.The delegation further stated that the administration had not taken any action to restore the land to the owner and compensate him for the damage.The delegation also referred to the damage caused to the house of Gopikrishan Bahar Bhat in village Dewar Tehsil Tral Pulwama by the PD and PHE Departments for laying pipes and erecting polesBakaya expressed dismay that this wanton destruction had been allowed to take place.On hearing the delegation, he demanded early action by the administration to demonstrate that the Administration was serious about taking confidence building measures to create an environment for the return with dignity of KP displaced migrants who yearn to get connected with their roots.
