JAMMU: Police on Thursday solved an attempt to murder case at Bagh-e-Bahu by arresting 5 accused involved in it. Giving details, SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil said that on January 8, 2021, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu by one person namely Parvinder Singh alias Lucky, son of Harpal Singh, resident of Satellite Colony Bathindi Jammu that he has been attacked by five persons namely Rasvinder Singh; Ravinder Pal Singh; Surjeet Singh alias Sonu; Pawandeep Singh and Amarjeet Singh alias Raju Thatha along with other unknown persons with stones and Lathis. He further accused siad that also fired two rounds with the intention to kill him. During this incident, one vehicle Scorpio bearing Registration (JK02CD- 7999) also got damaged. On this information, case vide FIR No 04/2021 under sections 307/427/147/148 of IPC and 3/25 of A Act was registered at Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu and special teams of Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu under the supervision SDPO City East Jammu DySP Bikram Kumar were constituted.
The team led by SHO Bagh-e-Bahu, Insp. Kirti Sharma raided various locations in Jammu, Samba and Kathua to effect the arrest of accused persons. After putting hectic efforts and with the help of technical assistance, the police team managed to arrest Ravinder Pal Singh on January 9, Amarjeet Singh alias Raju Thatha, son of Sawarn Singh, resident of Sajhan Pur Chatha on January 11 and accused Surjeet Singh, son of Harminder Singh; Rasvinder Singh, son of Harbans Singh, resident of Sainik Colony; Pawandeep, son of Tarlook Singh, resident of Seorah were arrested from Thandi Khui Samba on January 13. Weapon of offence (Pistol) used in the incident has also been recovered by the Police.
