POONCH: Badshaw XI lifted the Corona Warriors Twenty20 Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament beating Purani Poonch XI in the final played at Sports Stadium, here on Sunday.
The DySP DAR, Sachin Gupta was the Chief Guest, who along with Guests of Honour, Pawan Kumar (S&C BCCI NCA JKCA) and Pervaiz Malik Afridi (Chairman EHSAAS Foundation Pooch) presented winners and runners-up trophies. Speaking on the occasion, chief guest applauded effort of the organisers, Amandeep Sharma and Farman Ullah.
He also assured all possible support for the promotion of sports.
Earlier, batting first, Purani Poonch made 75 runs for six wickets with Rahul (33) and Hardeep (20) being top scorers. For Badshah XI, Shafiq, Shaban and Vickey took two wickets each.
In reply, Badshaw XI chased the target in 6.3 overs without losing any wicket.
Muneer and Vickey scored 45 and 20 runs respectively. The match was officiated by the technical panel including Shoib, Usman and Farman Ullah.
