JAMMU: Sumit Sharma Co Convenor Sanskritik Cell BJP distributed Ayushman Golden Health Cards in Narwal Cantonment area Ward No 1 Under Ayushman Bharat Scheme. It is a flagship scheme of the Government of India, that was launched as recommended by the national health policy 2017, to achieve the vision of universal health coverage. This initiative has been designed to meet sustainable development goals and its underlining commitment which is to “leave no one behind” said, Sumit Sharma.
Ayushman Bharat is an attempt to move from a sectoral and segmented approach of health service delivery to a comprehensive need-based health care service. This scheme aims to undertake path-breaking interventions to holistically address the health care system (covering prevention, promotion, and ambulatory care) at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. Ayushman Bharat adopts a continuum of care approach, comprising of two inter-related components which are – Health and Wellness center and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna added Sumit Sharma
Sumit said that it provided a cover of Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization across public and private empaneled hospitals in India over 10.74 crore poor and vulnerable entitled families are eligible for these benefits. PMJAY provides cashless access to health care services for the beneficiary at the point of service that is a hospital. PMJAY envisions to help mitigate catastrophic expenditure on medical treatment which pushes nearly 6 crores Indians into poverty each year. There is no restriction on the family size, age, or gender.
Moreover, the J&K Ayushman Bharat scheme will provide free-of-cost insurance cover to all residents of UT of J&K and PM Narendra Modi always launched different schemes for the benefit of the population of J&K and this Ayushman Bharat scheme extend health insurance coverage to all the residents of Jammu and Kashmir and focus on providing financial risk protection and ensuring quality and affordable essential health services to all individuals and communities.
