JAMMU: Super Speciality Hospital, GMC organized a three day long seminar cum awareness programme on various health and hygiene campaigns of the Government being implemented in the hospitals.The Seminar on Saturday was attended by the students of B.sc Nursing 2nd year from Govt. Nursing College Gandhi Nagar Jammu. The Seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Arun Sharma (MS, SSH) on Thursday.During the seminar, the students were told about Biomedical waste management, Basic Nursing techniques, Hand hygiene, National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP).They were also made aware about the National Organ Transplant Programme (NOTP), which is being run by State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) in the Hospital. They were made aware of Organ Donation, Brain Stem Death and the whole Donation procedure. They were informed about the legal procedure involved in organ donation. Many participants show their interest to become an organ donor. Stories of many organ donors were also shared to motivate them.Sadiq Khan, Mass Media Officer Health; Nancy Naushad, ICN; Dr. Shivani Tuli, Medical Officer; Shweta Raina, Divisional Manager for NTCP, Anshu Sharma, Consultant Media/IEC (SOTTO) and Irfan Ahmed Lone, Transplant Coordinator were the resource persons.
