Awareness camp under Poshan Abhiyan held

KATHUA: A camp under the Poshan Abhiyan was held in the District Programme Office, Kathua under the overall supervision of Ritu Mahajan while Deputy Director, ICDS Jammu Atul Kumar was also present. The camp was also attended by the Child Development Project Officers of ICDS projects, Pulkit Dutta (Billawar, Lohai Malhar and Basohli), Dr. Sushil Khajuria ( Hiranangar, Barnoti ) Shanti Devi( Duggan, Bani), Kamlesh Lakhanpuria (Kathua) and Itika Mahajan Women Welfare Officer, Mahila Shakti Kendra, Kathua. Addressing the supervisors and health and nutrition mobilizers and other staff present in the camp Deputy Director, ICDS, Atul Kumar put emphasis on nutritional value of the food items given to the pregnant ladies, nursing mothers , children (6months to 6 years) and adolescent girls. He also appreciated the work of DPO ICDS, Kathua Ritu Mahajan and other CDPOs and other officials of ICDS projects, District Kathua especially during the Poshan Maah. District Programme Officer, ICDS Projects, Kathua Ritu Mahajan while addressing in the camp said that the Poshan Abhiyan (national nutrition mission) is flagship programme of Government of India and CDPOs shall ensure that all the targets under the scheme are achieved. Neelam Bala, Retd. CDPO was also invited in the programme and felicitated by the staff of ICDS projects.
