Ashok urges LG to enhance RT-PCR tests through mobile testing vans


RAMBAN: Ashok Kumar, Former MLA from Ramban and a Senior Congress Leader has urged upon the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to enhance the number of RT-PCR tests across all 20 Districts of Jammu and Kashmir. In a statement issued here, he said now the time has come where government needs to test every negative RAT person with RT-PCR test in order to contain the virus from spreading in the community.
Ashok has urged upon the Lieutenant Governor to open Large scale RT-PCR testing drive in all 20 District of Jammu and Kashmir through Covid-19 mobile testing vans. It should provide free covid-19 testing facility to all the residents. At the mobile van, a person is required to only share their name, phone number and address to register for the covid-19 RT-PCR test. The result can be sent to their mobile phone within 48 hours. This will also reduce the spread the novel corona virus.
Ashok has stressed upon the Jammu and Kashmir Government that the increase in RT-PCR testing is an effective way of knowing just how much has covid-19 spread in J&K and it will further help the Medical teams across the UT to diagnosis and reduce the further spread of virus. It has become essential to take proactive and effective measures to containing the further spread of this dangerous pandemic. In this way government can save many lives and properly mitigate the unprecedented challenge before us.
Ashok further appealed to all political parties to distribute masks through their workers at public places. All parties must assured to serve the people, keeping aside politics as over the last week, J&K has reported huge daily spikes in Corona virus cases.
