RAJOURI: To raise peace and promote communal harmony in the region, Army organised a Quami Ekta meet at Dabbar Potha of Rajouri district on Friday. The main aim of the meet was to increase the togetherness among religion in the region, maintain harmony, peace and accept the suggestions from the populace for the development of region. The discussion about development of region and communal harmony was held with persons from all religion. The meet witnessed a participation of 85 locals including Sarpanches, Panchas, Pandits, Maulavis and various political leaders. The problems and suggestion of each participant raised during the event was discussed that includes COVID-19, communal harmony, peace, development of region, education of the children and youth empowerment. The meeting culminated with the attendees appreciating the efforts being made by the army for the upliftment, development and in bringing peace and harmony to the society.
