Bhadarwah: After truncation of state into UT along with abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A on August 5, 2019, followed by two waves of Covid-19, the situation is now improving with good pace across Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.Since last 2 years, people faces many hardships but in these circumstances and tough time, there was Indian Army, who remained always ready to help them in all situations, whether it was security related or to help them to become self-reliant and earn their livelihood from the available resources.In a bid to help the unemployed youth of this hilly area and bring them into the mainstream, Army’s Rashtriya Rifles (RR) based at Bhadarwah established a training node at Sohanda area for the unemployed youth.The aim of organising this training is to motivate the youth to choose security forces as a career and all round assistance in training is being provided.According to an official, a total of 108 youth from Doda, Bhadarwah, Marmat, Gandoh and Kishtwar areas are being imparted training for recruitment into security forces including Indian Army.It is being conducted by a qualified team of physical training instructors. The training will also help the youth to enhance and improve their personal and social conduct skills.Physical and Medical Tests were conducted as a part of screening. Selected candidates will be given a training for 45 days including free stay, food and stationary.According to locals, they are being imparted systematic training to improve their physical standards, cognitive skills, General Knowledge and various other subjects. The youth lauded the efforts by the army in this field and expressed their desire that such endeavours should continue in future as well.
