Army organises lecture on drug abuse



POONCH: A lecture on anti-drug rally was organised jointly by the Army and locals at Mandi in District Poonch (J&K). The Indian Army in continuance with the zeal for achieving greater heights and providing an impetus to the ideology of “Winning heart of minds” organised a lecture for the youth of Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Mandi. The aim of this lecture was to not only inspect of youth for any medical ailment but also identify possible life style diseases. Medical and physiological effects of drug abuse. The serious damage caused by drugs to mental health was also deliberated in the lecture. Beside the lecture, Indian Army also organised an Anti-Drug Rally and youth of Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Mandi participated and carried out a march towards Mandi village to create awareness on ill effects of drugs and their impact on society at large.
