Army organises amity meeting

RAJOURI: In continuation of its efforts to foster peace, communal harmony and prosperity in the region, the army organised amity meeting at Hanjanwali in District Rajouri (J&K). Participation of a large number of locals from all communities itself was an indication of social harmony existing in the area. Interaction with members of the society helped in knowing the pressing requirements of society. A number of measures have been instituted to resolve the grievances which include initiating Sadbhavana projects, skill development courses, training youth for Army recruitment, running coaching classes and projecting the grievances of Awaam to the appropriate authorities in civil administration.
The meeting was attended by 52 locals.
