Army holds health awareness camp



NOWSHERA: A health awareness camp was organised at Bareri on Friday to create awareness among the rural populace about COVID-19 pandemic and health related issues. The awareness drive was organised by Kalal Rashtriya Rifles as part of its outreach to civilian populace. A lecture cum interactive session on healthy Lifestyle was conducted by Major SS Tananji, Medical Officer of the Battalion.
The lecture started with a brief on healthy lifestyle to be followed by all. The lecture was organised with the aim to spread awareness about the various disease affected due to poor lifestyle and its associated problems. The lecture started with opening remarks of Smt Anita Devi, Sarpanch, Bareri explaining about the importance of conducting such events in today’s scenario. The medical response team also gave a detailed account about COVID-19 and it’s prevention, its symptoms and preventive measures including Dos and Don’ts. The lecture was of immense help to the attendees in warding off rumours and hearsay that abound in public domain for getting clarity on the subject.
The programme was followed by an interactive session in which the attendees were given full opportunity to exchange their thoughts and resolve their queries regarding the disease.
