JAMMU: Apni Party has emerged as the best political alternative for the people of Jammu as well as Kashmir, said senior party leaders here at Gandhi Nagar while speaking during a joining programme.In this programme over two dozen youth including BJP leader from West Assembly Constituency joined Apni Party in a function.The youth were welcomed into the Party by Ex-MLC and General Secretary Apni Party Vijay Bakaya and General Secretary Vikram Malhotra.Among those who joined Apni Party include Vikram Singh (BJP), Parveen Singh, Rohit Sharma, Mohd Ameen, Parshotam Malhotra, Kewal Sharma, Balbir Singh, Parnar Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Tajinder Singh, Pankaj Gupta, Vishal Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Varun Anthal, Ram Lal, Rajinder Singh, Balbir Singh,Sohail Suri, Shobat Ali and Hamit Ali.Apni Party General Secretary and Ex-MLC Vijay Bakaya, while welcoming those who joined, said that the Apni Party felt very proud that such respectable citizens from various walks of life had become part of the caravan of the Apni Party.He said that the Party was confident that they would spread the message that the Apni Party is the best alternative to the mainstream regional parties because it shuns emotional and hollow slogans and focuses on development of the people of the UT without making promises that cannot be fulfilled.He said that the Apni Party is committed to getting Statehood restored and has been raising its voice for protection of rights on land and jobs for the people of the UT.He hoped more and more people would join the Party and make it into a formidable force before the Assembly electionsSpeaking on the occasion, Apni Party General Secretary Vikram Malhotra said that youth have specially pinned their hopes with Apni Party for its ideology and developmental approach.“The BJP and other like-minded political parties in Kashmir as well as in Jammu have played with the future of the youth. The Apni Party has emerged as an option for the hopeless youth of Jammu who have been disappointed with the arrogance of the ruling political party,” said Malhotra.Malhotra said that the youth are fed-up with the emotional slogans.“They want employment and good education. For a good future in J&K, the elected Government must be in place,” said Malhotra and appealed to the Government of India to hold assembly polls in J&K as early as possible.He said that the people have a sense of alienation in Jammu and it is high time for the Govt to take a decision for the welfare of the people of J&K as a whole who have always stood like rock for national interest.He targeted BJP and Peoples’ Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) have again tried to create mistrust among the people of two regions and Apni Party will not allow their ulterior political motive to succeed.He again advocated unity of both the region and communal harmony among the community. The programme was organized by Sohan Singh Soni at the Party Office.Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Media Coordinator Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, Ajaz Kazmi, Gourav Kapoor, Janmeet Singh Bali, Vaibhav Mattoo, Vishal Zutshi, R.K Lalotra, Gohar Rasheed Wani and Ashraf Choudhary.
