JAMMU: Panun Kashmir organised its Annual “Kashmiri Pandit Nirvasan Samvat-32 Programme” at Jammu on Tuesday. The function was presided over by President Virender Raina and the proceedings were conducted by Kamal Bagati General Secretary.The meeting was attended by the members of the Executive Council and special invitees followed by the Kashmiri Pandit Nirvasan Samvat-32 in which 32 earthen lamps were lighted symbolizing 32 years of exile of the Kashmiri Pandit community.Virender Raina said that it is time to walk the talk and thanked the Rajya Sabha Member Vivek Tankha for having written a letter to the Prime Minister and said that it is a matter of satisfaction for the Kashmiri Pandits and other minorities of Kashmir to know that Vivek Tankha, Rajya Sabha MP from Madhya Pradesh has taken up the issue of Delimitation in J&K and its relevance in context of the displaced community with the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi recently.Kamal Bagati while addressing the meeting said that we are in the 32nd year of exile and very hopeful that the Modi Jis government would take tangible steps for the resettlement of Kashmiri Pandits in their Homeland in Kashmir. The recent statement of the Lt. Governor in this regard enkindles a lot of expectation in this regard.Upinder Kaul General Secretary(O) said that the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community is very excited about the address of the Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat tomorrow on the occasion of Navreh and hope that his address would be a great morale booster for the KP community.
