STATE TIMES NEWSNOWSHERA: A number of workers of officials of Social Welfare Department, including Anganwari Helpers, workers and supervisors, have not been paid salary for last four years due to which they have become hand to mouth. It was stated by some of the employees demanding immediate release of their pending salary. As per reports, a number of employees, numbering over a hundred, are mostly females & widows and belong from backward classes, with no other source of income. The employees alleged that despite continuously urging concerned authorities and Government for release of their pending salary, nothing has been done for fulfilling their demand.The employees from Tehsil Manjakote, Rajouri, Thannamandi, Manjakot, Nowshera, Darhal, Kalakote, Sunderbani including Shashi Bala, Sudesh Kumar, Anjali Kumari, Nazia Kouser, Anjali Kumari, Indu Kumari and Mukhtiar have requested the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri and Lt Governor to address their grievances by releasing their pending salary at the earliest.
