Amid Covid-19 scare, Shab-e-Qadr observed in Chenab region


Bhadarwah: While following all SOPs and guidelines, People prayed for the betterment of mankind on the eve of Shab-e-Qadar last night and hoped that the auspicious occasion would be a harbinger of peace and development in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Shab-e-Qadr occurs in the last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan and is considered as the Night of Power.
People in Bhadarwah, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Banihal and other areas while following all SOPs and Guidelines prayed for the betterment of society and protection of the humanity from deadly Corona Virus.
The holy night when people pray to the Almighty Allah seeking his forgiveness, is observed on 27th night of Ramadhan and according to muslim faith, this is one of the holiest and most blessed night when the believers seek forgiveness of Allah and His Mercy.
Shab-e-Qadr, the night which is considered to be better than praying for 1000 nights, was observed last night by following all SOPs and maintaining social distancing in all areas of Chenab Valley.
People while praying said that may Almighty Allah bless all of us and protect the humanity from the Corona Virus and other diseases and grant quick recovery to those who are affected with this deadly virus. People during the Holy night pray at their homes and spend more time in Ibadah and reciting Quran.
Only some selected people were seen offering prayers in their respective Masjids on the eve of Shab-e-Qadr in Ramban, Banihal, Bhadarwah, Doda, Kishtwar and other areas of Chenab Valley while following all SOPs and Guidelines.
A local from Bhadarwah, Kh Jamal Din Dar said that cooperation with Government and administration is must to contain further spread of Covid-19 in the society. “Every year on the eve of Shab-e-Qadr, there were huge congregations in every mosques, but in view of Coronavirus threat and restrictions, we have decided to offer all prayers from home,” Dar added.
