Amarjit withdraws nomination, 20 contestants in fray for CCI polls



JAMMU: Amarjit Singh on Wednesday withdrew his nomination for contesting election for post of Secretary, Chamber of Commerce & Industry on last day of withdrawal. After Amarjit’s withdrawn, now only 20 candidates are in fray for various posts of office bearers of Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the elections for which will be held soon.
As per a press statement issued by Suresh Sharma, Receiver CCI, three candidates have filed nomination for post of President, two for senior vice president, two for junior vice president, five for Secretary General, four for Secretary and five for post of treasurers.
Giving further details, he said that Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Y V Sharma and Arun Gupta have filed nomination papers for post of president while Surinder Mahajan and Anil Gupta are contesting for the post of senior vice president. Rajeev Gupta (Kaka) and Ashu Gupta are in fray for the post of junior vice president while Ajay Langer, Bhuvneshwar Gandotra, Gourav Gupta, Deepak Aggarwal and Manish Gupta will contest elections for the post of Secretary General. Rajesh Gupta, Ashwani Kumar and Rajan Gupta have filed nominations for the post of Secretary while Rakesh Jandial, Rajesh Gupta, Sanjay Gupta, Sunil Gupta and Manik Gupta will contest elections for the post of Treasurer CCI Jammu.
