All Stars wins in Bitta Memorial Cricket tournament

AKHNOOR: All Stars won the opening match of the First Bitta Memorial (Cosco Ball) Cricket Tournament being organized by Smt Shanno Devi (Mother of Late Bitta Ram) under the overall supervision of Dharminder Sharma at Kodewalla Ground Akhnoor.
Batting first after winning the toss, All Stars set a target of 123 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 12 overs with brilliant contributions of 51 runs off 22 balls by Munna and 33 runs off just eight balls by Rahil. Darshan also added 10 runs off six balls. For Kodewalla Kings, Gulshan took three wickets and Tushar bagged two wickets.
Chasing the target, Kodewalla Kings scored 121 runs for the loss of six wicket in 12 overs.
For Pattan, Danish with 22 and Zahid with 20 runs were the top scorers.
Zahid took three and Muneeb two wickets for Islamia College. The hosts won the match by 89 runs. Muneeb Munaf was adjudged the man of the match.
Chasing the target, Kodewalla Kings scored 121 runs for the loss of six wicket in 12 overs. Ajay played a brilliant knock of 62 runs off just 18 balls but all in vain as team lost the match by only two runs. Sachin and Abbu added 14 and 13 runs respectively.
For All Stars, Munna grabbed three wickets while Arun and Rahul took one wicket each. Munna was declared as Man of the Match.
Former Minister, Sham Lal Sharma was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Sham Singh Langeh General Secretary JKCA District Jammu was Guest of Honour with Shubam Verma (Treasurer JKCA District Jammu) and Bhushan Bral (DDC Chairman Bhalwal Brahmana) were the Special Guests.
Chief Guest distributed the prizes among the players and praised Dharminder Sharma for organizing such events to canalize the youth in sports.
