JAMMU: Akshaya Tritiya and Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Jayanti will be celebrated May 14, 2021 (Friday). Every year, Akshaya Tritiya & Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Jayanti is celebrated on third lunar day of bright Half Shukla Paksha of Vaisakha month. This year, Shukla Paksha Tritiya day will commence from 05.39 AM on May 14. It was stated by President, Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avem Vedic Sansthan (SKJAVS) Trust, Mahant Rohit Shastri in a press statement issued on Wednesday.
Giving further details, Shastri said that word Akshaya means never diminishing. Hence, benefits of doing any Jap, Yajna, Pitra-Tarpan, charities etc on this day remain everlasting. “Akshaya Tritiya is believed to bring good luck and success. Most people purchase Gold on this day as it is believed that buying Gold on Akshaya Tritiya brings prosperity and more wealth in future. Bhagwan Shri Parshuram, born to Mata Renuka ji and Maharishi Jamdagani ji, was six incarnation of Bhagwan Vishnu,” he added.
He urged people to celebrate the occasion at their homes in view of COVID-19. He appealed to public for enlightening Diyas on evening and mass chanting of Shri Hanuman Chalisa for welfare of humanity.
