Jammu: The recently advertised vacancies by recruitment agency JKSSB for Agriculture Extension Assistants (AEAs) have been withdrawn by the department on Saturday.In a communiqué made by concerned department to JKSSB suggested that vacancies notified for non-gazetted posts by Accelerated Recruitments Committee (ARC) under direct recruitment quota for Agriculture Extension Assistants stand withdrawn.“The proposal for Re-organization/Revision of Agriculture Gazetted Service Recruitment Rules is under active consideration of the government, wherein the posts under direct recruitment quota identified by Accelerated Recruitments Committee (ARC) have been referred to JKSSB for selection. The proposal for Re-organization Revision of Agriculture Gazetted Service Recruitment Rules is under active consideration of the government, wherein the posts of Agriculture Extension Assistants are proposed to be abolished by corresponding reduction and upgradation/redesignation as Junior Agriculture Development Officer”, the communiqué reads.“Therefore, the referred vacancies of Agriculture Extension Assistants may be treated as withdrawn ab-initio”, the communiqué reads further.
