AAP Jammu torches copies of farm laws to lodge protest

JAMMU: Extending support to the protest of farmers against farm laws, a number of leaders of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu held a protest on Thursday and torched copies of farm bill to express their resentment.
The protesting leaders said that farmers represent 130 crore of peoples of country and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) felt immense pain when these farmers are outraged by terming them as anti-national by BJP leaders. “Farmers are protesting in a peaceful manner and fighting for their legitimate rights. More than 70 farmers have died in the agitation. In this crisis, all the volunteers of AAP have decided that we will dedicate this year’s Lohri to farmer brothers who were martyred in the movement,” they added.
They urged leaders and workers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to quit their party and come in an open support of the farmers.
Those present included Ravi Shastri, Mehar Singh, Sewak Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Raj Kumar Nischal, Rajesh Bali, Mehraj Malik, Balvinder Singh, Mahesh Sudan, Amrik Singh, Sher Singh, NP Singh, R S Sudan, Naresh Kesar, Prithpal Singh, Rohan Bedi, Altaf Shah, Charanjeet Singh, Dr.Satpal Singh, Comrade Hardyal Singh and Shaadi Lal.
