JAMMU: Action has been initiated by J&K UT administration against Rohingyas who were staying illegally in J&K, as process of revoking their Aadhar and ration cards has been started. They were firstly identified, after which 168 people were detained.During investigation, it came out that some people helped them in making cards. It was further found that Rohingyas have illegally managed some identity cards, on basis of which they were also taking advantages of Government facilities. Four people were arrested by Trikuta Nagar Police after which a forgery case was registered. Meanwhile, the process of verification of Rohingyas was also started.Police has taken action against around 168 Rohingyas and sent them to jail. The verification of all Rohingyas living in different areas of J&K has been started. Now, furthering this investigation, the process for cancelling their cards has been started by administration.
