JAMMU: Arshad Majid Malik, Deputy Advocate General, Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Jammu on Thursday resigned from the post and sent his resignation to the Secretary, Law Department.
Malik hailing from Darhal Malikan in district Rajouri served as Dy. Advocate General for three years and represented important departments like Rural Development Department, Transport Department and J&K Project Construction Corporation Ltd.
In his resignation letter, copy of which has also been forwarded to the Advocate General J&K, Malik has thanked the Government of J&K for providing him an opportunity to represent the UT before the highest court. Malik has further stated that he enjoyed his assignment because of the cooperation extended by different officers of the UT Govt.
Advocate Malik has also thanked Advocate General D C Raina for guiding him from time to time and also expressed gratitude to the members of the Jammu Bar for their immense love and affection during his tenure as Dy. Advocate General.
