STATE TIMES NEWSJammu: Continuing its drive against menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which teams from Police Stations Nagrota, Gharota, Police Posts Chinore and Chatta acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized seven different vehicles involved in illegal mining. The seized vehicles include a tractor without registration number seized by Nagrota Police; 2 dumpers (JK02CR 4654 and JK02CQ 6055) seized by Chatta Police; a JCB (JK02C 69551) and a dumper (JK14D 7778) seized by Gharota Police while 1 tipper (Jk02BG 5256) and 1 tipper without registration number seized by Chinore Police.The vehicles were seized by SHO Nagrota Insp Mohd Showkat, SHO Gharota Insp Khyati Maan Khajuria, Incharge Chatta SI Ajit Singh and Incharge Police Post Chinore SI Avtar Krishan in their respective jurisdictions.
