4th ICRIC-2021 begins at Central University Jammu in online mode



JAMMU: Two days 4th International Conference on Recent Innovations in Computing (ICRIC-2021) being organized by Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Central University of Jammu was inaugurated online through Google meet on Saturday.
Amit Sharma Advisor Cyber, Ministry of Defense Government of India delivered keynote address on ‘Dark Web and Virtual Crypto Currency Contemporary Challenges to Cyber Space’.
Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu presided over the inaugural session and motivated participants through his inspirational talk.
He emphasized the need for such conferences for updating knowledge in recent innovations in computing of researchers in emerging fields. Prof Devanand, Dean School of Basic and Applied Sciences, Central University of Jammu emphasized the need for such events to share the research and innovations in computer applications.
Dr. Yashwant Singh, General Chair and Head of the Department presented a formal welcome address and informed that this year ICRIC-2021 received a total of 165 Paper Submissions from 12 Countries and 17 States of India.
89 Programme Committee Members and Reviewers from across India and abroad contributed to the peer-review process, he said adding that every paper was reviewed by a minimum of two program committee members. ICRIC-2021 finally accepted 50 papers out of which 47 registered for oral presentation (an acceptance rate of 28%) for inclusion in the conference proceedings, he added.
All these papers have been organized into 10 technical sessions on 8th and 9th May 2021. After the presentation, all accepted papers will be published in Springer’s LNEE. The inaugural ceremony of the conference was attended by more than 100 participants across India and abroad.
